Sunday, 16 December 2018, is the final club sailing day for this year. And as such it is only appropriate that we celebrate the year, the club and sailing in style! There will be a few things happening:
- All junior sailors (Learn To Sail and Open Bic Fleet) will gather at the club at 9.00 am for an assessment day. This might sound a bit scary but don’t worry! The purpose is to see what each of you has learnt so far and where is the room for further improvements. Based on the Sunday results (and our observations throughout the spring season) we will create more cohesive groups to accelerate your learning and performance in the New Year.
- All trailer yachts are invited to the final Club Race of the spring season. We had four yachts racing last week – will we have even more this time? Crew (experienced and non-experienced) is also welcome to come down and join the boats! Briefing starts at 10.00 am. Don’t forget Santa hats!!
- BBQ with delicious sausage sizzles and some yummy vegetarian options will start from 12.00 pm, so make sure you stick around!
- We would also like to invite everyone to take photos on the day and post them on FB tagging Wakatipu YachtClub Queenstown. The best photo will be rewarded!
